Everything is Fake

This nine-minute video gives a theory about the ruling families of the earth and how they maintain their wealth and power.  I find the sardonic video title amusing: "Everything is Fake".  

I keep thinking about certain scriptures when I see what is going on in the realm of the world powers.

Especially Revelations 18 about that mystery city of Babylon.  There are tons of scriptures about Babylon and it is an interesting study to look how the whole system of kings started up and how Babylon started.  

I think the angel saying "Babylon is fallen" is a parallel to what is happening with the little stone 

You could read that chapter over and over again and see that there is a great mystery city called "Babylon" that is going to fall.  This can't be talking about the actual city of Babylon, for Revelations was written only about 1,900 years ago whereas the city of Babylon actually fell over 2,500 years ago.

Verse 9 says the kings of the earth have committed sexual immorality with her.  This of course is figurative or spiritual because it is about a spiritual city full of unclean things.  And you see there is a voice from heaven (That is the voice of the Lord) saying "come out of her my people".  All this happens because the Lord Himself is going to be our King and there is a strong opposition to that amongst those who rule and have the wealth (those "kings of the earth")

You know, the kings of the earth are those who obtain positions of great power.  Often that is not the president or prime minister per se but those who are behind them.  Whoever these kings are, this chapter is a message to them that a judgment is coming. 

Verse 8: "Therefore her plagues will come in one day—  death and grief and famine— and she will be consumed by fire, for mighty is the Lord God who judges her.”

The chapter shows how something about this judgment will greatly disrupt world trade and cause the merchants to mourn.   

However, that voice from heaven was speaking (V4) "“Come out of her, My people, so that you will not share in her sins or contract any of her plagues."

That was a voice from heaven that is offering an escape from the plagues and famines that must be coming.  That must be the Voice of the Lord.  It must speaking now, all over the world in people's hearts as they read the scriptures and see the path of Life there.  Somehow, coming out of Babylon means coming from a place of peril (the world system) to a place of safety (in Christ).  That must put people in a position to be not so affected by the breakdown of world trade.

V23 says ..."all the nations were deceived by your sorcery.”  And so you can see that, at some point, that "all the nations" will be deceived by some sorcery.  This is a thing to be alert about because sorcery on such a large scale will be performed on many fronts.  We can see elements of sorcery everywhere and we should be careful what we take into our eyes, ears, and bodies.
